There will be no setting fee. I am going to charge by the hour. My hourly rate is $40 with a 1-hour minimum. The time starts when I have the camera set up and I take the first photo. As a customer I don’t want you to feel rushed and as a photographer, I don’t want to feel rushed so I think the 1-hour minimum is good for both of us. If you are looking for a basic shoot then one hour at one location should be enough to get a nice set of pictures, but I like the variety that different locations offer too. I have shot at a couple of locations in Humboldt and at three or four in Chanute. There are some nice sites between Chanute and Humboldt as well. I also have a couple of great places in Iola. Changes of clothes are OK with me. Two of the three locations I have shot from in Chanute have public restrooms close by. If you have a special location picked out let me know and we can shoot from there.

Since I charge by the hour it would not bother me if your Senior wanted to include brothers or sisters or other family or friends in some of the photographs too. Because you are hiring me by the hour I would be open to this type of additional photography. I would welcome and encourage parents to attend the photo session and I would also welcome your input or suggestions on poses.

Shortly after the shoot we will get together and I will show you a set of at least 15, 4” x 6” proofs. Once you have had the chance to see my proofs, you can decide to order prints from me or you can decide to use another photographer. If you decide you like my work and you want to order some prints I will collect my hourly shoot fee at that time, plus a $30 per proof book deposit. I will collect the cost of the print order when I deliver them to you.

I am not going to offer a package of photographs. Often times these "packages" seem to include sizes that customers just are not interested in. I am going to let you put your own package together. Just let me know how many photos you want and of what size and I will get them ordered. I do not print at home using my computer. All of the images will be uploaded to the internet and printed at a professional shop.

The cost of the prints will be.

$1 per  2.5” x 3.5” Wallet with or without lettering added.

$1 per 4" x 6" Print.

$2 per 4" x 6" Collage with at least one photo added.

$5 per   5” x 7” Print.

$10 per  5” x 7” Collage with at least one photo added.

$10 per  8” x 10” Print.

$15 per  8” x 10” Collage with at least one photo added.

I can also offer prints larger than the standard 8" x 10"s.

$23 per 11" x 14" Print.

$33 per 11" x 14" Collage with at least one picture added.

$32 per 12" x 18" Print.

$42 per 12" x 18" Collage with at least one picture added.

$47 per 16" x 20" Print.

$57 per 16" x 20" Collage with at least one picture added.

$65 per 20" x 30" Print.

$75 per 20" x 30" Collage with at least one picture added.

* A note about the Wallets*.

The wallets are $1 each. The corners will be rounded on them and they will look very professional.

I will be able to deliver the prints to you soon after you have placed your order with me. I can order black and whites, color prints, or a black and white with an isolated color. I can add names or dates or just about any wording to the prints and as you can see, I also offer collages.

I think my rates are reasonable and fair but I also might consider them to be an introductory rate. If I am successful and things seem to be going well I may have to increase my rates but I have a real job so I don’t feel that I need to make a full time living from my photography. I want to enjoy it and have fun and if I can do that, and save you from going to a more “professional” photographer, then maybe both of us can benefit.

Of course you can also catch me at many of the Humboldt High games.

And these portraits can be made into great collages.

I took this photo in color then saved just the couple and converted everything else to black and white.

Since the photo above was taken I have added some more equipment to my collection.

This photo shows my new Canon EOS 50D. It has a Canon 24-105mm F 4 L I.S. zoom lens on it and it is attached to a Custom Brackets flash bracket. The Canon EX 430 flash is also setting on the flash bracket.

If you look closely you might also be able to see my Canon EOS Rebel XTi, a Canon AE-1 Program, and a Pentax K-1000 camera body. The photo also shows just a small part of my lens collection.

I am not trying to brag but I wanted to include this photo so my potential customers can see that my camera collection is made up of quality cameras and equipment. If price translates into quality, and I think it often does, then this is a good camera system.

I often carry a portfolio book of my portrait and sports photos with me. Those portfolios have many more pictures in them than I can show here. Just ask and I will show them to you.
