People often ask me if weddings are more stressful than family or Senior shoots. I don’t think they are. Happy couples who are getting married are easy to take pictures of. But I take many more photos at a wedding than I do any other shoot. And more photos require more time working or editing them. And because of that I must charge a higher rate for the weddings.

When I shoot a wedding I ask $85 an hour for the shoot. I also ask for a deposit equal to three hours of shoot time, $255. I can also offer to sell you a photo CD from the wedding for $250. None of those photos will be copyrighted and you will be able to take that disk anywhere and have prints made or you can upload those images on line to your favorite printing company. And if you prefer I can get them printed for you too.
My print prices are reasonable.
The cost of the prints will be.
$1 per 2.5” x 3.5” Wallet.
$1 per 4" x 6" Print.
$5 per 5” x 7” Print.
$10 per 8” x 10” Print.
I can also offer prints larger than the standard 8" x 10"s.
$23 per 11" x 14" Print.
$32 per 12" x 18" Print.
$47 per 16" x 20" Print.
$65 per 20" x 30" Print.
* A note about the Wallets*.
The wallets are $1 each. The corners will be rounded and they will look very professional.
I think taking wedding and engagement portraits could become one of my favorites. The couples I have taken engagement portraits of have all been fun and happy. That makes the images so much easier to capture.
When I first began to offer photography for others Kayla was on the Humboldt Cubs softball team. She also played basketball and I enjoyed watching her play.
Then one day she called and asked if I would take some photos of her and Matt together. I was happy to do that.

At the time I wondered if these were engagement photos but I did not ask. Then the next summer Kayla called and asked I had an opening for the fall. Her and Matt were getting married and she was asking me if I could be her wedding photographer. I told her I was away from my schedule planner at the time but that I would check it and get back with her. She said that she would understand if I was busy that day. I told her that I really hoped I was not busy because I really wanted to take her wedding photos.
I am so glad things worked out. Little did I know those few years ago when I was taking photos of her playing softball that one day we would be together again in a church.

Her as a lovely bride.

And me as her wedding photographer.

Thanks Kayla for asking me to be your wedding photographer.
I had known Tom for years and when he asked me if I would be his wedding photographer I knew there was no way I would turn him down.
Little did I know there was going to be a power failure at the church and I would have to take most of the portrait photos and the reception photos using only the light coming in the windows and the flash from my camera.

But everyone was cheerful and everthing went very well.

The sand art work was a great idea. The bride and groom poured in different colors of sand as did the minister and everyone inthe wedding party. This is now setting in their home and if you turn it you can change the way the sand looks.

Thanks guys for asking me to be your wedding photographer.
I did not know Randi and Logan but I grew up with Randi's mom, Lela and Lela's sister Marta. Lela asked me to be the wedding photographer for Randi's wedding.

I agreed and after meeting Randi and Logan I am glad I did. They seem like a fun couple and I look forward to their special day.

And it was a special day.

And Logan even felt comfortable enough to make a neat fashion statement.

Thanks guys for asking me to be your wedding photographer.
Christa and Mike decided to have a fall wedding in Kansas City. They asked me to be their wedding photographer and I was so glad they did.

It was a special day and Christa looked stunning.

Here is a close up of the photo above.

It was hard to convert part of this photo to black and white. Actually it was easy to do on my computer, but it was hard to take such a colorful photo and convert it to black and white. I like the rich bright colors of Christa's flowers and they show up so well in these photos.

Notice the photo of Mike and Christa holding a photo of Mike and Christa taken on their wedding day. Wait a minute, it was their wedding day! How did he do that?

Thanks Christa and Mike for giving me the honor of being your wedding photographer.
Eric and Tawna are going to be married this summer. I have often talked with Eric at the Humboldt ball games. It might be a good thing their wedding is not in Humboldt. My daughter said a bunch of her classmates would have loved to have gone to the wedding and said something silly when the preacher asked "Does anyone object to this wedding let them speak now or forever hold their peace".

Andrew and Anne are from Kansas City and after finding my webpage they decided they wanted me to do their portraits. We decided to meet in Ottawa, which was about half way between Humboldt and Kansas City. I arrived early and checked out the different parks. A Google search showed at least 3 different city parks and we ended up visiting all three of them. Each offered different settings and back grounds.

Nicole and Kaleb will be getting married in the Spring. And like Anne and Andrew, they make a great couple. They are fun and full of life.

This photo was taken at the dam near Bridge Street in Humboldt. I saved the couple in color and converted everything else to black and white.
